We perform a rigorous and detailed technical inspection of every piece. Our analysis covers everything from the integrity of the movement and caliber to the authenticity of the case, bracelet, and external components. We verify the correspondence between the model reference number and the serial number, ensuring the complete provenance of the watch.

Do the watches come with original box and papers?

The availability of accessories varies by individual piece. As we predominantly deal with vintage watches, some units may not include the original factory set. However, the condition and included items (box and papers) are detailed in the description of each listing. The Gemzeit authenticity guarantee remains unchanged, regardless of the accessories.

Does Gemzeit buy watches from private individuals?

Yes. Those interested in selling can send an email with clear photos and technical information about the piece. After a preliminary analysis, we will send a formal purchase proposal. We emphasize that Gemzeit deals exclusively in original watches and subjects all proposals to a physical verification, either in person or via secure shipping.

2. Logistics and Shipping

What are the delivery times for Europe?

Dispatch is carried out within 2 business days after payment confirmation. Delivery time varies between 2 and 15 business days, depending on the destination country in Europe. In exceptional situations resulting from the operational logistics of the carriers, this timeframe may be subject to change.

Is the shipment insured?

Yes. All shipments are made with full insurance covering 100% of the market value of the piece. In the event of proven loss or damage during transport, we guarantee a full refund of the amount paid.

Is it possible to collect the watch in person?

Yes. In-person delivery can be arranged by prior appointment. Please contact us via contact form to coordinate the date and location of the collection.

3. Payment and Fees

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept bank transfers, PayPal, and cash payments for in-person deliveries. For transactions carried out via Chrono24 or eBay, payment methods follow the policies and availability of each respective platform.

Are there import taxes for shipments within the European Union?

There are no import taxes for shipments between member countries of the European Union. For destinations outside the European bloc, the customer is responsible for any customs duties and tax charges in accordance with the legislation in force in the destination country.

4. Condition

How are the conditions of the watches classified?

The condition is evaluated individually and detailed in the description of each listing, using technical criteria to define the aesthetic and functional wear of the piece.

Are the photos on the website of the actual watch for sale?

Yes. All photographs displayed are of the actual specimen available for sale. The watch is sold exactly in the condition shown in the images.

5. Warranty and Returns

What is the warranty period offered?

In accordance with German law (BGB) regarding the sale of used goods, Gemzeit provides a 12-month legal warranty (Gewährleistung). This warranty covers material defects and functional issues that were present at the time of delivery. Please note that normal wear and tear, or aesthetic signs of age consistent with the vintage nature of the timepiece, do not constitute defects.

What is the return policy and right of withdrawal?

In compliance with European Union distance selling regulations, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, without providing a reason. To exercise this right, the timepiece must be returned in the exact condition in which it was received, with all security tags and seals intact. The customer is responsible for the direct costs and organization of the return shipping, including full insurance coverage for the item. Upon successful inspection of the returned watch, a full refund will be processed.
